Ghana’s iconic and celebrated rapper Okyeame Kwame drops a video for ‘kpa’ fourth single off his Made in Ghana album.
It’s a funny song that talks about love and cheers you up when you are down. As the chorus translates in the local Ga Dialect “Stop consuming sorrow and eat some kenkey”.
The concept of the video shows a boxer running through from bukom to Jamestown to exercise. It was time to fight and when he met his opponent they hugged instead of fighting just to symbolize the Love Ga natives possess.
The video showcases a vibrant and colourful rich culture of Ghana along the shores of Jamestown. It features popular faces like TooSweet Annan and the designer Urban Grey and two members of the Wulomei Band
The song is originally a Ga highlife originated by Wulomei and Produced by Dan Grahl.
