Ghana’s HighLife Maestro Nana Tuffour Dies At 66

Highlife musician and maestro Nana Tuffour who many knew by his numeric acronym 9924 dies at age 66.

Nana Tuffour is popularly known for hit songs like ‘Abeiku’, ‘Me Yere Dada’, ‘Owuo Sei Fie’ and many others.

According to reports, the 66-year-old James Nana Tuffour died at home earlier this monday morning 15th June, 2020 and his body has been sent to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Mortuary.

Born on February 14, 1954, Nana Tuffour was part of the “Wanto Wazuri” Band as a pianist and eventually became the frontman of the band.

Nana Tuffour had over 15 albums, with released his first album ‘Highlife Romance’ in 1979 being his first.
