Doja Cat Reveals Her Root As Half South African And Is Ready To Help African Countries Suffering From Hunger Due To Covid-19

The 25 year old rapper Doja Cat has called on world leaders to fight Africa’s devastating hunger crisis as she announced she’s half South African.

Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini is her real name and daughter of Dumisani Dlamini, is a South African icon who is most celebrated for playing Crocodile in the Hollywood movie Sarafina. However, he has appeared on other films like Yizo Yizo, Drum and Homecomingknown.

She told her 3.5 million followers on twitter “Some of my fans may not know this…I’m half South African, specifically from Durban, South Africa, and the continent of Africa is experiencing a devastating hunger crisis. It’s heartbreaking to know that the COVID-19 pandemic has left 41 million people on the brink of starvation“.

Before she graced the stage of the Global Citizen Live event – which is geared towards defeating global poverty, Doja tweeted to explain why the cause is so close to her heart.
